Prior to the decision that any resident in Metro Manila can avail of the vaccination in another city, organizers were strict in accommodating only residents in the vaccination program. Identification was required and checked to ensure that only the constituents could have the vaccine benefit. Residents followed the rules and were helpless if their city was not as organized as others.
Imagine the reaction when Experienced Actress (EA) was found to have availed of a valued vaccine brand from a district where she did not live or vote. Not only was EA given a slot, she was jabbed with a brand that was supposedly reserved for those who cannot be administered the China-made vaccine.
The constituents noticed that an official was all out in assisting EA, but he did not offer such assistance to the residents of his area. EA made the gesture known in her social media, where her followers have no idea of the backstory. EA was just one of many personalities who circumvented the system and thereby making ordinary folks wonder about why special treatment has to be given to some celebrities.
