With the showbiz market getting smaller for talents, scrutinizing new co-workers happens. When Loyal Talent (LT) found out details on Newcomer (NC), she was shocked. Despite the effects of the pandemic and other issues, NC was bound to be compensated way more than LT.

LT asked her talent friends if they learned about the move of the management on NC. Her friends were speechless at how little they were earning compared to NC’s package. Fueled with feelings of injustice, LT talked to producers and managers to raise her concern. However, they defended the bosses. New faces always generate interest and create a fresh environment for every production. LT explained that if awards were the consideration, she has her recognition from prestigious organizations. If low ratings were the concern, then that is the issue of the marketing department and not of the talents. LT emphasized the need to uplift the morale of the loyal artists first before opening up to other talents, who may or may not deliver expectations.

When the top bosses heard about LT’s issue, the reply was that no one is indispensable (except for an elite few) and the unhappy ones can explore other options.
