Going around the grapevine is the intriguing post of a Social Media Personality (SP) about being groomed by a Non-showbiz Educator (NE). SP has posted photos of her as a teenager with the adult NE. Now, years later and already beyond her teens, SP felt NE took advantage of her then. NE was already an adult in a position of authority and SP was a teenager, studying to finish high school.
Sexual harassment cases involving teachers and students have been exposed in the past months. SP’s experience could be added to the list. What makes her experience sad is her claim that some prominent personalities of the institution were allegedly aware of their ‘relationship’. As young and naïve then, SP believed that those personalities should have done something. Worse, NE is apparently still an employee of the said institution.
SP has bravely made her posts public and tagged the said institution. Since the posting, accusation, and calling out, the institution and the person concerned have yet to make a statement addressing the matter.
